“Palmaday Stud”, currently occupies 700 acres of well
balanced fertile country, with fully irrigated, pasture improved flats rising
to pasture improved hill country.
The flats and part of the hill, are divided into a number of small paddocks,
post and rail fenced and are used for the mares and foals during their early
development, and offer a safe, well protected environment.
The western hill paddocks provide an excellent area for the continued balanced
growth after weaning, developing strong healthy yearlings.
Further yearling paddocks are being developed on the eastern side of Spring
Creek, as well as more Broodmare paddocks.
Palmaday, has an excellent supply of good quality
water from its interlinked bores on Spring Creek, as well as a fully
independent supply for irrigation. The quality of this supply being so good
that it is also used for domestic purposes at the houses at Palmaday.
